UMARA League Rating Rules

 

UMARA RATES all its ADVANCED Competitors (red/brown and Black belts) of all ages, based on tournament results.

 

Each advanced competitor competing in Weapons, Forms and Sparring receives the following points:

 

  • First Place 3 points

  • Second Place 2 points

  • Third place 1 point

  • Grandchampion 5 points

  • Defense of Grandchampion 1 point

At the end of the tournament season the points for each division and person are tallied and the ratings for the year 1st thru 4th place are tabulated.

 

The UMARA Awards banquet these individuals who have achieved Competitive Excellence are then recognized for their achievement and presented with an award - there is no cost to the competitor beyond the nominal banquet fee.  In addition, those competitors who have placed FIRST in three divisions are further recognized as a TRIPLE CROWN WINNER.  In addition, the overall points leader of the year is also recognized as the overall outstanding UMARA Competitor.

 

Final Results are posted at the end of the year after the Banquet. Previous Year Standings - also posted on facebook
